The cost varies widely. My laser surgery PRK cost $4200 for both eyes. There are budget places, under $1000 for both eyes, to up to $5000. But I wouldn't suggest looking for the budget deal when it comes to your eyesight. Do your research based on the doctor, experience, reputation, and results. Ask your optometrist for recommendations

Look into the Lasik Vision Ins ute. I had mine done at one of their centers in Florida. I disagree about looking for discounts. Lasik surgery has improved a lot in the last 10 years or so, and if you find an experienced doctor, then let their experience count. I had mine done for $299 / eye about 1 1 / 2 years ago, and I still see them running that special pretty regularly. That's $598 total. What I didn't let them sell me on was all the 'upgrades, ' which of course they will try to do when they get you in there for the exam. They could explain the upgrades no better than telling me that my vision could be 'crisper, ' like hi - def TV, than the basic Lasik. Well, I don't have a hi - def Tv, and I don't really need hi - def eyeballs. I just wanted to see well, and asked if the basic Lasik would correct my vision as well as my gl es. They gave me an honest 'yes. ' So after about 20 years or so of wearing gl es for a severe astigmatism, I now have perfect, 20 - 20 vision at the age of 38. As I said before, it cost me $598
